When a Mortgage Guy Can't Bring Himself to Say No

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

You know how some people skirt around an issue when they are asked a direct question, and you can tell that they just don't want to tell you the truth? Knowing that they know YOU know this, you would think they wouldn't continue to skirt around the issues, but they do. I can ask a very simple question such as: Are we closing on Friday?  Some of these Sacramento mortgage guys will ramble on and cover all sorts of territory, none of which answers the question, which eventually leads to the answer we all suspected: no. But they can't bring themselves to face the truth.

Makes you wonder how they get through life painting these rosy-colored pictures for themselves and not actually dealing with reality. You can read more in my personal blog today about A Preemptive Strategy for Sacramento Real Estate.

Ouch! Sorry you have not had the greatest of experiences. Great communication troughout the process is the key to no surprises at the end of a transaction. Pulling off the band-aid early and quickly is a much better experiance if there are challenges to a deal.

Some talk the talk but can't walk the walk.  I wonder how they decide on what to wear to work each morning

Elizabeth, these are the types of people I will not use again.  I tell them up front that I want the facts and I need the bad news along with the good news.  I have a zero-tolerance attitude for these types of folks.

Elizabeth, I would really worry if the mortgage dude skirted around - are we closing!    That is usually not a good sign.
