Lecture series in February to be held at Andalusia farm

"10TH ANNUAL FEBRUARY FOUR" sundays 2015

Andalusia has been offering a lecture series each February since 2006. The series is more than lectures and includes author's readings, films, and other media. To provide content to Andalusia's world-wide audience we will be podcasting the February Four and linking it to our website. The 2015 series will be held each Sunday in February, from 3 to 5 pm. Lectures take place in the Back Parlor of the main house, and are followed by a light reception.
February 1 - Toni Morrison and Flannery O'Connor - Carolyn Denard (Associate Provost for student success and strategic initiatives, and director for the Center for Student Success, GCSU, and a Toni Morrison scholar)
February 8 - "Sin or Insanity: Flannery O'Connor's "The Partridge Festival" and the film version of Pete Dexter's Paris Trout" - Bruce Gentry (Professor of English and Editor of the Flannery O'Connor Review, Georgia College) and Mab Segrest (Martha Daniel Newell Scholar in Residence Spring Semester 2015, Georgia College)
February 15 - Collards and Consumption in "A Stroke of Good Fortune" - David A. Davis (Associate Professor of English at Mercer University)
February 22 - "Mourning Flannery" and "Hazel Motes is not Black" - Katheryn Krotzer Laborde (Associate Professor of English at Xavier University of Louisiana)

There are many wonderful events at Andalusia, home of Flannery O'Conner throughout the year that you can enjoy, but I'm super happy that even my friends who follow my blog will be able to attend if they wish since it will be podcast and links on the website.  So if I can't get there or if you live too far we can still get to enjoy the lecture. I have two wonderful authors in my family and I really need to finally sit down and write some of books that are rattling around in my head.
