Great food at Nuka in Haiku Maui Hawaii
We had another great dinner the other night at Nuka in downtown Haiku Maui. It's a Japanese restaurant and sushi house, but they are always trying new things. This time we tried the Dynamite dish which consists of scallops and mushrooms and a yummy cheese sauce. It's not typical Japanese fare but it sure was good. Very rich and satisfying.
Of course we also had some other good dishes. A platter of sushi made with extremely fresh local fish. They really know how to prepare it and present it. The Asian Fries were another favorite, hot and salty and covered with sprinkles of furikake... you know, the dried seaweed and sesame seed mix. The place was packed the whole time we were there so it was very lively and a bit noisy.
I totally recommend dining at Nuka in Haiku Maui. You won't be dissappointed.
