Riverside

Nestled snugly between the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers near the center of the Greater Wichita metro sits the lovely and trendy area called Riverside.

Founded in 1886, Riverside is widely known for it’s character and charm which is highlighted by the diverse architectural style of the homes there and the beautiful, mature trees which actually form a canopy over many of the streets.

There are many cultural attractions to enjoy such as Botanica Gardens (also known as The Wichita Gardens in Riverside), The Wichita Art Museum, Cowtown Museum, Exploration Place ,The Indian Center , The Keeper of the Plains (a 44’ steel sculpture by Blackbear Bosin built to commemorate the Bi-Centennial) located at the confluence of the Big and Little Arkansas rivers with hands raised in supplication to the Great Spirit. The Keeper of the Plains is the best known symbol of Wichita.
