Looking for a Rural Home with Great Views? Try Fallbrook, California
Interested in finding a rural home and with a great view. Fallbrook homes for sale may be your answer.
Fallbrook is an unincorporated community of about 30,500 (2010 Census) in North San Diego County, just east of Camp Pendleton and near Bonsall, Rainbow, Oceanside and Escondido.
Fallbrook is easily accessed from the 15 freeway (to the east), and from the 76 (to the south), about 18 miles inland from the Pacific.
Fallbrook is known for its avocados (check out the Avocado Festival, in 2015 on April 19th) and for its floral industry, as well as other orchards, plus it has a fine reputation as a thriving art community with an annual art fair.
You won’t find large malls or big box stores like Best Buy, but there is plentiful shopping in the downtown area, a number of restaurants, specialty retailers and more. The weekly Farmers Markets are held on Fridays and Sundays, and there is a very cool library (see the roof garden of the libraryu just below).
Fallbrook has a reputation as a quiet rural town. The downtown area is about 6 miles north of the 76 freeway, with a small historic area off Mission, the main road. While you’ll find plenty of residential neighborhoods with wide mix of housing, both new and old include some tract housing and condominiums, Fallbrook also offers abundant opportunities for buyers interest in horse properties and other rural homes in the hills with fabulous views, large lots, and plenty of privacy.
Prices can range from the mid $100,000s (rare) up to $2 or $3M (there is one home on the market for $5.75M). In contrast to the coast it if far more common to find homes on multi-acre lots. And because of the hills some properties have spectacular views, as you can see from the photo.
