Denver's MLS now has Rentals

By
Real Estate Agent with Aspen Lane Real Estate

Denver's MLS introduced Rentals to our Matrix as of January 29th 2015.

What does this mean for you? First, you can advertise your rental properties to other brokers. Also, when working with a client who is interested in a rental property, you can search Matrix for available listings and share those listings in the client portal.

The Input and the Review of the Rental Properties look like the for sell properties and the agents must update the rentals the same as the for sale properties. It also shows the rental history of the property

Something new for us and see many benefits of this addition for my clients and myself.

This is good becasue about two years ago when we meet in Chicago as NAR directors to make changes to realtor.com we authorized rentals. Make sure these are getting the direct syndication like listings for sale. Where I find syndication the best and this includes Z&T is that rentals get you the most calls and emails.

Joe Pryor Z&T are wrong all of the time and never updated. They put agents phone and contact information on these homes for rent and they have zero idea about the market and don't even do rentals.

Dan, I just had 5 showings this week off Zillow alone of one of my rental properties. I just git a call from South carolina from a couple who will be here this weekend. Even trulia does a decent job so my personal experience withr entals has been outstanding. Please understand that i don't give a dime to any dsynidcator even realtor.com who i support because they do support accurate data and REALTOR® values.

Joe Pryor - I was speaking from a agent advertizing with Z and T. They seem to be thrown in with the rentals of their zip code which most agents dont deal with rentals. This upsets the clients asking why did your name and contact info come up on this rental property.

I am happy to hear about the showings though and wish you well in getting your property rented.

Locally most real estate companies won't even pay a buyers agent outside their firm so I am not sure this would work.  I wish it was different and other brokers were more client greater good thinking about the rentals they list.

Tammy Lankford  The rental portion of our MLS is mainly for Agents and our clients. This is not for the general public. Many agents own multiple properties and many of us have clients who purchase multiple investment properties.

The great thing would be have a client moving to the Denver Area and needs to rent for 6-12 months then will be buying this would be a good tool.

So, even though we can send our clients rentals through the portal it is mainly for the agents
