We typically think of postcards as those quick, cheap keepsakes to pick up at the gift shop when we are out of town. In the past, the written word was the only means of communicating with people who lived far away. Postcards helped tell your story. At the North Beach 2015 Valentine Postcard Workshop, guests will view vintage postcards on exhibit at the Bayside History Museum. This trip back through time is unlike any other you may have taken before.
The trip down postcard's memory lane may be more entertaining for you than for your kids. They get to create their own Valentine's Day themed postcard to take home with them using supplies provided by the museum. All children ages 3 and above are welcome to participate. They will just need an adult to accompany them. Since spaces are limited and the museum wants to make sure that there are enough supplies to go around, it is highly recommended that you call ahead of time to reserve a spot.
