When you hear "equestrian property", most people visualize an estate with beautiful horses grazing in pastures bordered by white post & rail fencing, but that isn't always the case. In more densely populated areas, it's possible to buy a townhome (see photo) which includes horse boarding as well. This particular townhome complex - Parkside Equestrian - is located on Riverside Drive in the Rancho District of Burbank, next door to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, and the most recent sale for a 3+2.5 with an attached garage was for $550,000.
Because of the excellent schools, low crime rate and proximity to Disney & Warner Brothers studios, Burbank real estate holds its value - currently, the lowest price detached horse property in the area is listed for $549,900, and that's for a 2+1, 902 square feet home on a lot measuring 6,125 square feet. This may sound pricey to some, but keeping horses in your backyard can save you thousands of dollars a year, not to mention all the free manure!
