Canyon View Park and Sports Complex, Grand Junction's Premier Park!
The park encompasses over 110 acres and there is a myriad of things to do! Let's start with helping you find Canyon View Park. The primary entrance for Canyon View is off of 24 Road, about 2/3 of the way from G Road to I-70. There is also an entrance just east of 24 road on G Road. Once you are in the park just pick one of the many parking areas and choose an activity.
There are numerous shelters located throughout the complex, all have restrooms. There are BBQ grills at two of the bigger shelters for larger groups to get together. The park includes 1 baseball diamond, 6 tennis courts, 4 softball fields, basketball courts, football fields, handball court, horseshoe court, multi-use fields and sand volleyball. There is also a Dog Park and up to 2.3 miles of walking trails and children's playground.

Spring through fall the fields are crowded with little league players and parents.

Portions of the 2.3 miles of walking trails are wide concrete while others are narrow crusher fines lane as well. These crusher fine paths offer the firm footing an all weather usability of concrete without its joint pounding hardness. There are numerous parking areas and restrooms with drinking water.

Located at the north end of Canyon View Park and Sports Complex is approximately a 3.2 acre enclosed by 6' chain link fence Dog Park. There are two separate double gated entry points and two separate areas for small/senior dogs and larger/active dogs.
In the Spring of 2015, the park will undergo a complete overhaul and the equipment manufacturer is saying "it will be one of the biggest playgrounds they have created in all of Colorado".
The new playground will accomodate up to 500 children at a time and will feature two separate age appropriate play areas as well as a fitness equipment section for adults.
There is expected to be dozens of swings, jungle gyms and slides in the works with the tallest structure featuring three climb-able levels. The highest slide comes off a 14 foot deck that is fully enclosed with the top room of the structure at 27 feet.
