Most but not all of my business comes from referrals or friends. People know me for being ethical and getting the job done. On Wed. a friend of mine asked me to price out her home. She is not sure she wishes to sell but she is thinking of taking a leave of absence from her work and traveling.
So I went and took the photo of her home. Looked it up in the tax records. Compared it to other like houses with similar characteristics. Then I spent about an hour driving and looking at the homes to decide whether they seemed better or worse from the outside. I came up with a price range that I intend to narrow when I see her home.
All of this is done before I enter her home today. In a development the work is easier but I am an expert in the older neighborhoods of Boise. I understand that by crossing certain streets the value can change. That is why I take the ride in the car. I need to see how my clients house is situated in her street compared to the others.
I didn't want my friend to leave but I also know that if she chooses to leave I can get her home sold for the highest possible price. My friend knows she can trust me to work hard to do the work. I like to think of my motto " I get the job done".
