I'm so excited about The Village Emporium, a new business“Coming Soon” to Red Feather.
In "downtown" Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, on Main Street, is a little building between the Post office and the Trading Post, formerly known as the Village Antiques.

The owner is retiring after many years of operating Village Antiques. She said that someone used to jokingly refer to the store as the “Never Open”- (which is particularly funny to locals who know about the “Ever Open Café” in nearby Fort Collins); but the store’s limited hours brought excitement when the door was open and inventory was always changing hands.
The historic building was the original Red Feather Post Office, and the old Post Office sign is still onsite, stored there in the rafters.

It’s sad to say goodbye to people who have been a part of Main Street for many years, but exciting to see new businesses bloom in our little Village!
The new business owner will be getting the shop ready and stocking the shelves for the Grand Opening sometime in March 2015.
What exactly will be on those shelves? I’ll save that for the next post…but it sounds like a great addition to Red Feather. I think you’re going to love shopping there.
There’s a new business “coming soon” in Red Feather- and it’s called
The Village Emporium!
