Certainly housing in Bethesda MD is not inexpensive but there are condos for sale in Bethesda for less than $300,000! There are several condo communities to investigate if you are looking for a condo under $300,000. Just click here to search!
The first community to check out is Parkside, just off the Rockville Pike, slightly north of the Beltway. This condo complex sits on 60 plus acres and has approximately 900 condo units located in low rise, garden style buildings. There are 1 bedroom, two and three bedroom units, some with balconies, others with patios. The two drawbacks I have to Parkside is that there are no washers and dryers in the units, although there are washers and dryers in each building, and it is not pet friendly. A positive to Parkside is the proximity to the Grosvenor Metro, and the amenities of the community, including a pool, tennis courts, and clubhouse.
The next community to consider is Springlake close to Montgomery Mall and I-270. Another garden style community, this one is smaller than Parkside, and it is pet friendly! The condo fee includes all utilities except electricity. A two bedroom unit here has about 920 square feet. The units have balconies and parquet floors. Like Parkside, there are common laundry rooms, an outdoor pool, jogging paths, and picnic tables.
Another condo community with homes under $300,000 is Chelsea Towers at 7401 Westlake Terrace, also close to Montgomery Mall and I-270. This is a high rise building with an elevator that became condo in 1983. The community has a pool, tennis courts, and a fitness center. Many of the units have balconies but no washers and dryers. The schools are Ashburton Elementary, North Bethesda Middle School and Walter Johnson.
Perhaps my favorite secret value in Bethesda condominiums is the Whitehall on Battery Lane in downtown Bethesda. The Whitehall is two high rise buildings with elevators. There is a pool and a fitness center and a 24 hour front desk but no laundry in the units. The Whitehall is pet friendly. The Whitehall is next to the NIH campus and an easy walk to the metros in downtown Bethesda and Bethesda Naval.
Lots of buyers choose Bethesda for its great schools or its well paying companies like Marriott and Lockheed Martin. Isn't it good to know you don't have to break the bank to live here? If you need help finding that perfect home, give the Lise Howe Group a call at 240-401-5577.
