Google Print Ads - Access to hundreds of newspapers nationwide

Google Adwords continues to be the dominant channel for online advertising, however Google's foray into print seems to be ramping up a little more slowly. Google Print Ads allow advertisers to easily advertise in up to 600 newspapers nationwide, all managed (and tracked!) through Google Adwords. Advertisers have the ability to target specific publications in the local markets that they are most interested in. Like Adwords, Print Ads gives advertisers the ability to name their own price on the specific ad of choice in any publication. Newspapers then have the option of accepting or denying that bid.

I began looking into that a little while back.  Years ago there was a website that would allow you to place multiple ads in many different papers.  I guess it never really took off but I thought it was a great idea.  I'll have to re-visit Google since it's been quite sometime since I've looked into it.
