The average closing home price difference from Jan-Dec of 2014 was a astounding increase of $40,916 per home. So, the Average Home in Aurora, Colorado sold for 20.36% in December verses January. These prices have been steadily going up for the last two years.

January 2015's home prices came in at an average of $224,601. Down from December, but understandable with the timing of the holidays, but still an increase of 11.77% from Jan 2014 to Jan 2015 same month comparison.

Even though these numbers look great and have been looking great for some time when will it PEAK? There is a huge shortage of homes for sale on the market right now and is in need of inventory.

Hi Dan - Nice market report, and a good focus on average home prices. As long as our low inventory situation persists, we're going to see upward pressure on prices. The gains to sellers, though, may be countered by their subsequent entry into the market as buyers.

Dick Greenberg  Agreed! This probably why there is such a shortage of inventory. Low Rates with Prices Increasing

New Home Builds are more abundant right now but the prices too high for many of the buyers.

when there are buyers and a shortage of homes there is no "peak" going to happen any time soon in Denver so buy away you will be fine

Great chart Dan with all the facts.  Our market is just crazy right now with the extreme shortage of inventory.
