While walking through a home in Elk Grove with freshly shampooed carpets yesterday, I slipped when my stocking feet hit the tile floor coming off the wet stairs and I landed on my butt. Stubbed my toe, too, and it's still a little painful this morning. But did I drop my clipboard? Heck no. I hung on to that sucker because I didn't make all those scribbles for nothing.
Which is why I have four closings tomorrow, even though we have all of these holidays in Sacramento and days off. If you're a Superior Court Judge in Sacramento, it's fairly safe to say that many have a 5-day weekend starting today. Right in the middle of all of this is Friday the 13th.
