I Think I Can, I Think I Can, I Know I Can!
I woke unable to sleep. Of course came to Active Rain. First post I opened was Bob Crane 's "I think I Can". Enjoyed reading it and commented and went on to other posts. This simple post stuck in my head though for many reasons. In following Bob I can see this attitude in his posts. He lives what he speaks of and that is made obvious with his little Girl's statement. I could feel Bob's pride busting through his chest, no small task, and felt that his post relates to so much more than just business. Thank you Bob.
I Think I Can, I Think I Can, I Know I Can!
This is one that I posted long ago and came across tonight, I thought it was worth a repeat. I hope you enjoy it.
I always enjoy when one of my kids throws one of the many lessons that I have taught them back in my face, it shows they were listening and have internalized the lesson.
Recently I made the mistake of using the word “can’t”, and my daughter was quick to reply with, “Dad, Can’t is not a word that is allowed in the Crane household”.
Since the time that my kids were young I have always taught them the wise words of the little engine that could.
That can't is never an acceptable route, if we want to do something enough there is always a way, we just have to learn the route and decide if we want to do what it will take to accomplish the goal.
It is so nice when they let me know that they were not only listening but that they still remember the lessons that the little engine and I taught them over the years.
