Atlantic Plumbing Condos Pass 50% Sold Mark
2030 8th Street NW DC 20001
UPDATE 3-12-2015
AP has passed the 65% sold mark and is delivering in April.
Seems like just yesterday DC condo buyers were saying "and they're going to be how much?!" and now the innovative and street-dominating Atlantic Plumbing condos are 50% sold...and counting.
Walls of glass, artistic features and spaces, desirable amenities and a 'Hot Hoods' boundary-stretching location make for a surprisingly successful sales timeline for developer JBG. Atlantic Plumbing is to North Shaw's new condo market what The Mission is to apartments on 14th: Unique and cool.
Project Summary
Two-building conversion of former Atlantic Plumbing building to multiphase condominium and apartment complex with retail/commercial components at the intersection of 8th & V Streets NW in the U Street Corridor/North Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC.
The creative architecture and interior style plays off its surroundings; the ‘chewing-gum wall’ outside the 9:30 Club will be mimicked with graffiti art and original site artifacts.
Each building has a distinct character;
Building B: Condominiums
Offered in this 60 unit structure with a brick façade and aluminum factory-sash windows are a combination of 1 BR and 2BR units with 10′ ceilings and rooftop terraces per plan. Artist loft garages, a fitness center and ground-floor eateries and retail are part of the original plan. JBG is integrating a few original elements into design, such as signs, bricks and a street-savvy piece of art–graffiti-painted by a Swedish artist on the elevator shaft viewable from the building’s exterior–as an homage to the project’s heritage.
Building C: Rental and Commercial Components
The project plan also includes 807 V Street, next to the 930 Club. The 10-story building (north side of V Street) will offer 310 luxury units, approx. 19k SF of retail and artist studio space (including a 10,000-square-foot Landmark Theater). 165 below-grade parking spaces. The apartment building will offer a pool, fitness center, indoor/outdoor bar and common lounge area. Corten-steel exoskeleton provides lateral bracing support and adds to the industrial vibe of the project.
