Real Estate Agent with DWELL REAL ESTATE BK3105105

You may not be a realtor but when your neighbor’s house goes on the market you have the opportunity to help get the home sold quickly.

Curb appeal is very important and the seller can provide his home with the most beautiful entry imaginable but if your home is in close proximity and gives the buyer reason to cringe, the chances of his home selling are greatly diminished.

So, why not give your neighbor a helping hand?   What do you see about your home that would discourage a buyer from wanting to live near you?

If your lawn is overgrown or strewn with trash, mow and clean it up.  It may look so good that you will continue to maintain it.

·        If you have 100-150 gnomes in the front yard along with three bird baths and seven wind chimes, ask yourself if they are really necessary.   Do they serve a purpose or have you just gotten so used to them that you don’t even notice them anymore?

·        Are there items you could repair with little or no money (crooked mailbox, fresh paint on the front door, windows washed, etc.?)

·        Could you keep your garage door closed so that your clutter is your secret?

·        When you notice an agent showing the home could you cease your drum practice and keep the dogs quiet?

·        If approached by the realtor and prospective buyer can you give any positive feedback about the neighborhood, describe the things you love about it, why you bought there and why you stay?

sThere could come a time when you decide and hopefully your neighbors will return the favor.
