Fishhawk Lake-Local Squirrel Needs Your Help!

By
Real Estate Agent with John L Scott Market Center 700512026

Anyone know a good Weight Watchers Program near Birkenfeld Oregon? It seems that this squirrel could use some lessons in how to manage its weight.

It seems that it took its "storing up for winter" a little too seriously.

One too many trips to the Birdfeeder Bar has left it praying for someone to supply an intervention.

If you know of anyone who can help, please contact your local realtor, Gayle Rich-Boxman. (503) 755-2905

Prayers will help, too!

Hi Gayle - No help here. We've been feeding Rocky, our office squirrel, all the peanuts he can eat - he even fights the crows for them - and I think he has a few ounces on your guy. He thinks the squirrel chicks will dig him because he looks extremely prosperous.

Cute pictures! What a chubby little fella! I hope it's not the start of a trend in the squirrel world.

That is one chubby squirrel. Is it possible that the big tummy could be some baby squirrels in the making?

Funny Gayle!

We were at a meeting last week at our local convent this past week and one came up to the window with his belly dragging on the ground.

They must not be able to handle the easy food in the birdfeeders too well.

What do you guys put in your bird feeders? LOL. I know the squirrels just love the seeds. It's easy pickins for them.

Gayle - That squirrel is too cute and looks like it's ready for a much colder winter than we're having around here.

Good morning Galye. It seems like we are feeding the entire squirrel population in the Northeast. They all figured out we were feeding everyone.

Make it a great week!

I think the Betty Ford clinic has a wing set aside for squirrels.

Gayle, he (lets call him Fats Domino) is a cutie. Great photos of him. Storing up for a long winter and by summer he will be running, running and will lose that weight..hopefully :)

Georgie Hunter --this might sound like a silly question, but do you have squirrels where you are?

Debbie Reynolds, I spied him from the back this AM as he took off towards a tree and he most DEFINITELY is a male (ahem....)!

Bob Crane this is the only firdfeeder he gets into because it's nice and open....but this morning I only put some food in his little dish--corn, peanuts, sunflower seeds. And only 1/2 cup. Someone's got to take charge!

Debbie Laity --thank goodness he can't get to the suet or he'd be looking at gastric bypass surgery!

Christine Donovan --normally I'd be envious of great warm weather, but we have had a mild winter and I'm thankful and February, in the last few days has been GLORIOUS!

That Betty, Gary Woltal sure covers all of the bases!

Thanks, Roy, you too.

Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 I used to love squirrels but after battling them for many years I came to think of them as rats with pretty tails ; )

No squirrels here in Hawaii.  And also no: skunks; porcupines; racoons; coyotes; snakes; chipmunks; beavers; badgers; etc. The feral cats have run amok though.

Hi Gayle,

I'm no expert but I heard that this happens to squirrels when the thermometer exceeds the freezing limit, could be 10 - 12 degrees? I always worry about wild animals and birds in winter.
