Austin’s Fat Tuesday, Time to dig out your purple, green and gold

Good morning Bob. Boy it sounds like fun. I didn't know this celebration happened outside of New Orleans.

Bob, this sounds like so much fun and I know many will be ready to party in their purple, green, and gold.

Every Tuesday is a Fat Tuesday for me Bob,  but this sounds like a lot of fun!

I like what Roger commented. Never heard of this one, but sounds like a fun, fun time in Austin!

Bob, never made it to Fat Tuesday in Austin...went to a great restaturant called Fat Tuesday though!

I've always associated Fat Tuesday with New Orleans and have never paid much attention to it otherwise as a celbratory day, Bob. I have no idea if we even have anything in Charlotte to mark the day. Of course, today, we have an inch of ice on the ground and very cold temperatures--so I don't know how much celebrating there will be in any event! Sounds like a fun event in Austin.

Bob, I had forgotten all about Mardi Gras, and have not heard of any parties around here, should check it out!

I hadn't realized until I turned on the morning news that today is Fat Tuesday.  It usually doesn't sneak up on me like this.  I think other news about the over abundance of snow on the east coast, has thrown my inner calendar off!

I had not idea it was Fat Tuesday, until I read your post.  The celebration sounds like fun in Austin, and I have not heard of anything happening in our neck of the woods.  When we lived in Los Angeles, there was a restaurant that had a Fat Tuesday celeb every Tuesday, and it was fun to meet friends there.  Have a great time if you go.  A

I have not done much in the celebration of Mardi Gras in my life. I have been through some parts of New Orleans where it happens out of season. Can be a little scary when your out of the know on the good vs bad places are to go.

Bob - hope yours is a good one.  The cold weather cancelled our Fastnacht celebration. (This was to include lots of donuts).

I missed Fat Tuesday blog but today is Ash Wednesday and we are on the path to Easter. Can you believe how fast this year is going by? Hope you had a good Fat Tuesday.
