This morning I woke up to about 6 inches of snow...along with millions of my warm, close, personal friends here on the East Coast. Since it was too early to wake my neighbors scraping the snow off the driveway, I decided to shovel something else in my home office...paperwork.
In Maryland, the amount of paperwork for a single transaction never seems to stop. As I was processing documents, mostly for other people to sign, initial, etc. I couldn't help to think that I was just shoveling from one pile to another.
When 9 AM came, I did go out and shovel the driveway...and you know what...it was satisfying. Much more satisfying than shoveling paperwork, because I could actually see something that was accomplished, and it was a great feeling.
No endless paperwork, and when it was done I realized two things. First, I have a really big ass driveway, and second...It's nice to tackle a task and see an actual accomplishment so soon.
I'm thinking about shoveling some condo paperwork pretty soon...for me, and my new drivewayless house.
