Google ranking dropped - has anybody been there?

Real Estate Agent with Soleil Real Estate

I have been tracking my Google ranking and in a specific set of keywords I was #3 weeks ago.  Today I was #11!  I suspect that a site that has been aroun much longer then I has started using the same keyword and has thus bumped me.  I am sure that I am not the only one whop has had this happed.

Several of the ones above were all the same company using different sites.

Does anybody have any thoughts?

My keywords  That I was using in this instance were Spokane Home Buyers Rebates

Good luck finding out the reason.

This happens. New sites come on the web everyday and change the way it is positioned. I would suggest refining your keywords. Check out what the other pages ranked above you are doing.

I'm not sure on the specifics, but I noticed overtime rankings can change, even with my blog and using the words "Falcon Heights MN Homes For Sale"  Just keep tweaking the websites and blogs.

I think if you can stay on page one no matter where that is a good thing - Mine moves around all the time - just keep writing good stuff. FYI - I grew up in Spokane :)

exhausting, isn't it? I still have yet to figure it all out and suspect I never will. I have had good rankings to poor rankings. Now I am somewhere in the so so rankings. I try changing things around and I seem to make it worse. LOL  But hey, at least I rank! Wish I had the answers.

A couple of SEO groups I belong to talked about Google algorithm change early this week or late last week. Google dropped a bunch of sites and also changed how they were ranking others. It will change again a hundred times. I wouldn't worry about it just keep trying to get one way inbound links.

Google rank is always fluctuating.  Just shoot to keep it in the top two pages.
There are professionals who will keep it on the first page.  Otherwise, don't be to concerned and stay focused on being a Realtor, not a Search Engine Optimizer.
Make it a great day!

David gives the best advice.  I've been doing my own SEO work for years.  It takes hours of work to promote just 1 link.  Keep track but don't get too hooked on results at first....I was all the way on page 35 at first 2 years back.  Through proper techniques  I continue to move up.
