Living with parents, adult children or buy a Tiny House!
I was reading two interesting articles. One was multi-generational living article from Bankrate.com and the other are these tiny houses mentioned in Inside Business The Hampton Roads Business Journal.
Homes with In law Suites is a viable option
Immigrating to this country and living in New York City, my family had a period of time when we did live in a multi-generational style with grandparents.
It was sometimes the necessity. This picture on the left is an example of a house with a design that invites the In-laws with an in ground pool and hot tub, perhaps the parents aren't so stressful.
Now (many years later), that we are empty nesters my wife and I are trying to enjoy a single generation, us! However, I do think that multi-generational living may still appear again for us.
This picture on the right is a home for sale with an in ground pool and paved patio for low maintenance and stress reduced lifestyle and has a third floor in-law suite, which may be perfect for that college grad that moves back home. I personally feel you should have an outlet for stress and a place to get away for some alone time.
Tiny Home may be the way to go for a simpler life
The smallest house I ever rented was about 778 sq ft. It was just me and my expectant wife. Now, as I am middle age, I always think of where will visitors stay or sleep, where do we entertain or dine with friends.
Tiny home and new construction? On the other hand by a piece of land, build your own and be out of true debt in a few years? Seems ideal. This house for model home is from a company called Four Lights Tiny House Company . This is just one of several models they offer.
