The San Antonio Housing Market continues the 2014 trend by showing a strong pace, and kicking off a marked growth in prices and sales from all previous years. According to the January 2015 Multiple Listing Service by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®(SABOR), a total of 1,428 homes were sold last month, which was a 5 percent increase from the same month in 2014.
Average home prices came in at $212,222 which was a 5 percent increase, and the inventory of available homes was 3.6 months. Days of the market were 74 days, which is 3 days less than 2014. All these statistics indicate that San Antonio communities are still in a "Seller's Market".
Pending sales for January 2015 was 1,615 compared to 1.465 in 2014. Active Listings for January 2015 was 7,419 as compared 7,943 this same time last year. Now would be a great time for sellers to get their homes on the market since prices are rising, and the inventory is still low. See the full report January 2015 Market Statistics.
