 One Extra Degree of Effort

“Water is hot . . . .  at 211 degrees. Water will boil at

212 degrees . . . . and with that one extra create

enormous Power . Create that one extra degree

in your efforts and you will release your

personal power to achieve your goals

and greater levels of success.”

Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,

Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .

One extra degree of effort

Water is hot . . . . at 211 degrees.

Water will boil . . . . at 212 degrees.

Boiling water has the capacity to create steam . . . . That steam creates the power that enables a locomotive to pull an enormous amount of weight.

The difference . . . . comes down to that one extra degree.

Success and failure is based on minute details . . . . and the difference can be as minute as one degree.

Find that one extra degree in your life . . . . and you’ll find the way to create the steam to power your career . . . . and you success journey in the direction of successfully achieving your goals.

Lou I love this point that one extra degree will make the difference, just like in Base Ball one tenth of a percent in your Batting Average will make a huge difference in the results for you as well as the team...Endre

Good morning Lou. You are so right, sometimes that is just what is needed, that one more little extra push. Your analogy so right.

Correct...and, as one matures (ages) that extra degree becomes harder and harder to muster.  So grab the opportunity while it is reachable!!!

Great point and great analogy.  Just a little more effort can make all the difference in our business.  Not giving extra effort can make all the rest wasted effort!!

Thanks Lou for the reminder. I was taught this at an early age with "Extra Credit" papers and didn't realize what that was for until later. Its the extra push or tug that usually gets the desired results

It wasn't until I installed a spa a number of years ago that I became acquainted with the significant difference a degree or two would make.  For example, 100 degrees was to cold.  105 degrees was too hot.  The sweet spot for me, was a perfect 102.5 degrees.  But whether I stepped in at 100 degrees or 105 degrees, it took just a little more effort, or turning of the dial, to make it perfect.
