This morning as I was setting the table for dinner guest tonight, ( a bleated Valentine’s Day Dinner with friends) I was reminded of Thanksgiving 2013, I had 10 people coming to my home for Thanksgiving Dinner; so I took my tablecloth to a local cleaner to have it cleaned and pressed. It was the Friday before Thanksgiving; the lady told me that my tablecloth would not be ready until after The Holidays; I said you’re kidding, she said no they were full up. I went to my car and called the main office; and they said no they were not, so I went in to tell the lady that and she said oh, I thought we were full. Really you did not know so you told me they were? Geez sounds like the want my business. So, I went to the head office location which is not as convenient as the location I was at, but I was not going to give them any business. The lady there gave me an extra discount because of what had happened; it was still 24.00 to clean the tablecloth with 2 discounts. She told me to come to her and she would take care of me in the future. We then took about 3 of our tablecloths for Christmas to her and she told me she would take care of me, when we went to pick them up no one knew about the “extra discount,” so we paid close to $90.00 for 3 tablecloths to get them cleaned! When my husband told me about it I said that is it; never again! So yes I cleaned and ironed the tablecloth myself..I will not take it to that dry cleaners ever again or anything else for that matter. So, bad customer service has driven me to ironing, on the upside I saved $26.00; I will put that into some nice wine!
