My take of the Oscar’s

By
Industry Observer

My Speechless Sunday was about the Oscars, some of those commenting said to tell them about it as they had plans or were going to bed after a long hard day of working. So, here’s my take on the Oscar’s, I did watch continuously as we had all of our boys over so quiet is not the word I would use for last night in our household.

I will start with the red carpet moment, I thought the interview with Dakota Johnson and her mom on the Red Carpet with Lara Spencer was very awkward and stilted and not due to Lara

My favorite dresses ok I narrowed it down to 3 were Georgina Chapman, Rosamund Pike, and Lupita Nyong ok so I did not know who a couple of these people were. I have read some people had thumbs up on these dresses some down, but these were my favorites.

Worse moment of the night seeing Neil Patrick Harris in his whitey tighties; sorry I found it well, let’s just say I would preferred not to have seen it. The best surprise and moment of the night was Lady Gaga’s   rendition of “The Sound of Music,” wow she nailed and showed everyone she has a voice! You go Girl!

Disappointments Birdman winning so many awards, and of course there is always Sean Penn but the again he never fails to disappoint!

So, that was my take on the Oscars! Have a great week!

I watch very little TV, so I did not watch the Oscar's. I was walking through the the family room when they announced Lady Gaga . . . . I stopped for a moment to see what she would be . . . . .  She was amazing.

Good luck and success.

I think Lady Gaga's performance of "Sound of Music" tunes was amazing!  She has always been one of my favorites, but she outdid herself last evening!

Yolanda I missed the Red Carpet, just as the' In Memoriam' missed the inventor of the Oscars...as well as John Phillip Seymour was forgotten...I was sad that they are so inconsiderate and lack caring....Endre

P.S.: love Lady Gaga's rendition of the Sound of Musik

Yolanda, I felt the same about the 'tidy whiteys', but have been informed by those in the know that this was from the movie 'Birdman'.  Since, I haven't seen it yet, the gag just escaped me.

HI Yolanda, I only watched a little, but to me the highlight was Lady Gaga, what an impressive lady! And the moment with her and Julie Andrews, loved it. I have such good memories from that musical.

Yolanda, As both said last night the Fashion Police show was hilarious and outrageous. Much better than the Oscars. Oscars TX ratings as you said were terrible and no wonder..

Hi Yolanda, I think you nailed it! Lady Gaga had to have impressed a lot of people. Underneath all her usually weird costumes is the voice of an angel.

One of my most beloved guilty pleasures is watching the awards.  I agree with the gowns you like. And, I loved Scarlet Joahanssons green dress - and necklace. And Margot Robbie - IMHO both were old Hollywood style - stunning.  And Gaga was perfect! ( I'm so glad as I expected something crazy...) I did miss Ellen...

Lady GaGa got two thumbs up from me - she was awesome! Neil Patrick Harris gets two thumbs down for his lack of class hosting this event.

Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert I could have gone a life time with out seeing him in his under ware. Very poor taste for such an event. An with "American Sniper" getting snubbed. If your not hip or way out of this world it wasn't going to happen for Clint Eastwood. It's just my take on it.

But thanks for the update on the fashion though.

Yolanda, I too was a bit SHOCKED to see the whitie tidies, and could have done without that too!   Lady Gaga in my mind was the highlight of the night!

Yes I can and it didn't take the people very long to bring the verdict back in on Chris Kyle's murder charge either. Go Texas.
