MEALS ON WHEELS for the Crow River Senior Center Area

Hi Ron - Meals on Wheels is a great national program and I'm not at all surprised to see that it is available in your area - it's well worth supporting.

The price is good and MOST of the meals I have seen are also ok.  For shut ins it is a great thing.

Meals on Wheels is a wonderful program that meets the needs of many.

Hey Ron, This is a great program.  The seniors will greatly appreciate this service.

Without going into specifics, this program probably saved one of my relatives from starvation.  And, she really needed to get this food because she was afraid to cook because of mental issues.  We all tried to help but this was a real lifesaver for her.   Nice post, Ron.

Meals on Wheels is so important. A family member of my always enjoyed seeing the volunteers bringing her meal of the day.  My Mom was a volunteer for many years and loved the time she served taking meals to shut ins.

When I retire that is going to be one of the things I want to participate in.  I mean to help prepare and deliver them

Meals on Wheels is an awesome program. My parents received very nutritious meals from them for a while when my dad was ill and my mom was unable to get around. I can't say enough good things about the volunteers who checked in on my parents each day.

It never ceases to amaze me how helpful your community is to it's seniors. That says something good about the people in your area. 

That is a great price for a hot meal and may be the only hot meal some folks get in one day. Good job getting the word out.

Good morning Ron. What a wonderful local post this is. Great service and good information for those in need.

Ron, Meals on Wheels is a tremendous program all across this country. So many of these shut in seniors do not have funds to pay for adequate food and $4 per meal is an excellent deal. many of these seniors have pets and these folks many times give the pet the food they can afford.

I started out volunteering at the Senior Center by doing the rounds with the Meals on Wheels...the scent of those delicious meals is still with me today.

Ron - this program which is all over the country is really needed for seniors who are aging in place.  Volunteers are so appreciated.
