Hollywood Drive-In Opens!!

View Larger Map Sorry ABOUT THE SHOUTING but I am super excited - the drive-in opening starts spring for me and, since I hate snow and all the winter brings (hello new exhaust system and rear tires because I went off the road in an ice storm!) I love the spring. Before we know it we will be eating ice cream at Moxie's and having burgers at Jacks, watching fireworks and enjoying the short pool season! Or having fires near the lakes after a long day of kayaking and waking up in the tent to the sound of the birdies. I love the warm weather in this area!! Hollywood Drive-In is a 50+ year tradition in these parts and is still a great bargain for a fun-filled kids activity. Come early to get a good spot, bring blankets, bug spray, lawn chairs, and something to throw back and forth (like a baseball not a small dog) .... pack a cooler full of soda, bring all the candy and snacks you want, or splurge with a trip to the old-fashioned one room candy, popcorn etc. treat shack. And go the bathroom early - no fun winding between cars through the dark with tired children to stand in line at the restrooms. This weekend the drive-in opens with a double feature of Horton Hears a Who and the Chipmunks movie - they are open friday, saturday and sunday nights and the movie starts at 7:00 pm.
