Tired of the pity!

I just came from my weekly Rotary meeting and one of the newer members asked me what I do for work.  I mentioned that I had a mortgage practice and they were just so sorry for me.  The news media is killing our industry from the outside.  I'd like to start sharing some GOOD or GREAT things that have happened lately!  Enough of the negativity.

 If you have a recent great story, I'd love to hear it.  I'll start....

I just helped an associate of mine buy a second home in the mountains for his family.  He wanted to close fast to entice the seller and we did the purchase/loan for him in  18 days from start to finish!  Now that's great!  He's happy and so are the sellers.

What story are you telling?!?!

Hi Sean - We had a similar comment at our meeting yesterday. Does your friends and clients ask you with a sad voice, "How are you doing in this market?"  I say, media aside, it's interesting and exciting time for RE Market. Keep on telling the good story, Sean.

I would tell them that its been great.  All of the unprofessional, part timers and less seasoned individuals have left the industry leaving you with a great opportunity.

Wouldn't it be great if the press would all take off a week or two?  They're killing us.  The bright side of this situation for me, is that I've learned a lot about effective marketing, and cutting unnecessary expenses.  Then there's all of my competitors who are going out of business.  Ha Ha  Hey Sean,  Please keep me in mind the next time you have the need for a Residential Appraiser.  My fees and coverage area can be viewed at www.yourspeedyappraiser.com  Thanks, and have a super day!
