Two Weeks

I feel a little shaky, a little on edge, a lot grouchy and a bit sad.

I haven't had that warm and fuzzy feeling for 14 days.

I miss the smell and the sound.

Nothing can make me feel the same.

My cuddly 1200 lb beasty friends are my drug and I need them!

While there has not been any significant winter weather at my house, 50 miles north where the little beasties live there has been ice and snow for the last two weeks.

The weather has kept me away, I have come to truly resent the Georgia DOTs inability to deal with winter road problems.

Now there is light at the end of the snow covered tunnel!  The melt is on, the sun in shining.

Believe me, if I did not have home inspections and new construction walk throughs scheduled for today, I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS POST! 

Tomorrow cannot come soon enough!

Warm breath, soft noses, cuddly necks...

Strong backs, quick legs, flying with my beasty...

Mommy will be home soon, boys!

Larry Johnston it has been a long winter.  Colder for longer periods than normal here and very wet.  We can and do work inside during those times but outside is best.  Losing these last two weeks is tough right before show season starts, we will both be huffing and puffing around the ring from being out of shape!

Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert yes, they are a bit like dogs!  As soon as Tango hears my voice, he nickers softly for me to come to him.  They like to play games and are so curious about anything new.  And of course, Tango is always on the lookout for treats...he performs a "pat down" of sorts to search my hands and pockets for something to eat.

Anita Clark yes, any kind of back problem can make riding very difficult.  Many riders find themselves sidelined as a result.  I've been lucky.

Beautiful photo Jeanna!  I grew up with and riding American Quarter horses.  Horses, IMO, rank right up there with the other "man's best friend".  Tango... what a great name too!

Thanks everyone!  We had a great day at the barn yesterday.  Tango was his usual wonderful self, he worked great and we had a good ride.  I also rode a new horse, Rose.  She's a lovely little mare who is only 5 years old and still learning.  She was fun, in an unexpected fashion!
