St. Michael Albertville Rotary Pancake Breakfast – February 28th

Don’t cook breakfast tomorrow!  Instead enjoy a nice breakfast made by the great folks at the Hanover River Inn from 8:00 am - 10:00 am

You can dine on pancakes, eggs and sausage including juice or coffee for only $8.00 per person! 

 

Proceeds from this event go to local community programs that benefit families in the St. Michael – Albertville area. If you have questions, please call Sandy at 763-464-3678.

 

I love going to the River Inn for anything, and this breakfast is not to be missed!

Michael Jacobs You could fill up on the eggs and sausage, Michael.  They are really generous with the portions, and the sausage is the best....and real eggs, too!

Real eggs?   There was a recent California law that went into effect this year about the ethical treatment of chickens --- does Minnesota treat their chickens better?

Ron, The Rotary pancake breakfast sounds wonderful and certainly at an inexpensive price. The proceeds benefit local residents and this is a win win for all involved.

Michael Jacobs   These eggs come from contented chickens....acutally there are several chicken farms around here that raise all manner of wonderfully colored eggs from peach to brown to blue....and most of what they use at the River Inn are from places that treat their animals well.  Good call!

 That sounds so good, I have not had pancakes in forever, I will have to fix that...and I am glad the eggs come from Happy Hens lol! Have a good weekend what is chief cook fixing?

What a great price for breakfast, I am with Michael Jacobs when it comes to pancakes.  Ron makes great ones that are feather light.  On the subject of eggs having had a mother who was a food research librarian,  I learned  that most eggs in restaurants come in a carton already mixed, stabilized, and God knows what else is done to them.  This accounts for a slightly funky taste in baked goods as well as scramble...

My point is that I too like real eggs, and I ask restaurants if they are actually are cracking eggs for the omelet or is it in a container?  If it is, I pass. That is why I order sunny side up eggs, so I know it is the real deal.  I only buy organic jumbo free range eggs, LOL A

Ron & Alexandra Seigel That is another reason why the River Inn is such a popular place to eat around here.  They really do care about quality ingredients....most nights and even some lunch times, you can't even get in the door...and that says a lot about a little restaurant in a town with a population of less than 800!

Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert Chief Cook made me what we call a garbage omelet today....full of cheese and ham, cream cheese, red peppers, green onions....tomorrow she has the day off.  So we can both enjoy the breakfast at the River Inn!  I am looking forward to their maple syrup, because we buy ours from a farm across the river from us.
