Today is the last day of February which has been one of the coldest Februarys on record! I don't think the temperature ever got above 30 degrees for the entire month. We had 10 days with sub-zero temps which tied a longstanding record! The average temperature for February has been 12 degrees!
February will also go down in the record books for being one of the snowiest months on record with over 45 inches of snow!
However, in spite of this arctic cold, the real estate market has been sizzling with activity! I have listed 7 properties and made 5 sales totaling $1,060,500 during the month of February.
Also during the month of February, I attended our New York State Association of Realtors Mid-Winter Meetings for 5 days and also spent an entire day in Professional Standards training.
So this is proof that the weather is not a factor in real estate sales!
