Will the Real Estate Agent Say Cheese

I saw this movie recently "Evan Almighty" and the real estate agent "Eve Adams" portrayed by Molly Shannon was hilarious. The family moves to the Suburbs and they arrive to find this huge home and the agent meets them at the door of their Hummer when they pull up. Of course she is trying to get a photo of her with the family and popping her head up through the 5 of them standing there. She says "Say Escrow" instead of the typical phrase "cheese". It was such a funny moment and she wanted a good advertising photo and I thought of course we do this too.
Then I saw a TV movie "Starting Over" and the new residents show up late at night to their new home and of course the key will not work and after a couple of minutes, he says "I better call the real estate agent to come over and get the door open for us". This is so true as clients always call if they have a problem. In true life, the agent would have pulled herself/himself together and driven over there to open the door. Do we answer our phone at night? Yes, most of us do and then try to solve the problem.
American Beauty Movie real estate agent is portrayed by Annette Bening. Though she has a neurotic family, she is selling real estate and dresses very professionally and seems to spend more time working than at home. This is also so true as we dedicate our lives to helping our clients but the movie was a little racy and hopefully most do not kiss in the Jack-N-Box drive-through line.
Then the movie "Neighbors" with Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi where a weird couple move into a neighborhood and all kinds of bizarre things happen. Of course there is a swamp next door and there is quicksand here. I laughed and thought their real estate agent did not get a NHD report as they would have known not to move there.
To sum it up, real estate agents are not always portrayed as the professionals that we truly are or strive to be but at least they are in the movies and that is a big step.
