Remove Your Shoes -- takes on a new meaning...

You all have heard what a C R A Z Y market we are experiencing in Denver, but Saturday was a bit over the top.    We didn't get a snowstorm, and the sun was out, even though the temps were in the 20's, it was a nice day.    We saw several open houses at new listings, and had a showing set for a few homes that did have an open house.

Since the snow was melting, it was messy outside, and many of the showing instructions included -- remove shoes!     Here is what we saw at the first showing that had an open house.   There was no less than 20 families in this home, and could barely get up and down the stairs.

Remove your shoes

It was kind of fun joking about picking and choosing which shoes you wanted to take home....there were lots of choices!    Even though everyone took their shoes off, the wood floors were a MESS!    There must have been others in earlier that DID NOT remove their shoes!

Hi Joan, Not only do I supply shoe covers for all my own Open Houses, I always take them for the Buyers on every showing. Actually I keep a large supply in the trunk. We use them whether we are asked or not. Sort shows a level respect for other's property. The buyers are impressed as well that I care to be prepared.

Am extremely happy I don't have to deal with snow and ice. Sometimes sand is an issue close to the beach. We all have our issues!

What happened to the booties?  Did they run out of them? Just think what it would look like had they not removed their shoes...

Too funny, Joan.  I would have set up a little stand and had the children try and sell the shoes back to the owners!

Good Morning Joan: I was about to put my thoughts in but Gabe Sanders ' humor disrupted the flow. Funny man.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. It just shows that your market is really CRAZY!!

Wow, to have that many showings and at one time is hard to fathom. Your sellers have to be loving getting so many good offers.

Joan, this will be a great photo look back on once the market slows, if it ever will. Enjoy the ride.

It would look like Hawaii if it were not for the snow boots!  It's amazing so many went to an open house on such a cold day!

Gabe Sanders it was very crazy with little kids running up and down the stairs, and maybe they should have been trying to sell back the shoes!

Christine Yedo Johnson it was amazing to see how many did not wear socks, and what was it - 20 degrees on Saturday.   Plus, to walk on those dirty floors, ICK!

..... no shoes, and no socks ..... they must have had really cold feet  (and dirty), due to the circumstances.

Joan

I guess there are some small advantages to living in the Napa Valley where there is no snow, no rain for that matter. I guess when the well runs dry we will be able to run dry with our boots on. cheers cvc
