We know that Facebook is a default method for getting in touch with potential clients online, sometimes to the detriment of other sites.
However, what I do give Facebook credit for is they are quick to try out new things, and if you jump on them quickly, you can see a massive advantage over your competition.
Remember when everyone was very upset that Facebook was charging money to run ads?
Well, there were two types of people out there when that happened. The first was swearing off Facebook forever as an ineffective platform, the second were using the very cheap ad prices (as little as a few cents per click) to bring in business.
I'm not saying I know where Facebook videos are going, but I do know one of the best online marketers out there, Gary Vaynerchuck, is VERY excited by the data results he is seeing.
Since real estate is so visual, and even today, not many agents are shooting much in the way of video, it could be a great opportunity to jump on this and stand out from the crowd.
Now, you can upload your videos directly to Facebook (just like you would to YouTube), and play them from inside the news stream. Additionally, you can have a "Videos" tab for easy access right from your profile page.
Viewers will also be able to watch videos on your YouTube channel, this just takes the middleman out of the equation. I know when I'm on Facebook, I'm far more likely to click on the videos I see in my feed.
Think of the possibilities this can present.
I, for one, think video will become more and more important for buyers when it comes to house hunting, so this can be a perfect way to stand ahead of your competition and attract new clients.
Have you been thinking about using Facebook videos?
