January was a brisk start to the year for real estate in Steamboat Springs. February was a great month for snowfall, so things are looking up in all sectors for the Steamboat market!
Melissa Gibson with Land Title provides us with our monthly numbers and for January real estate sales in Steamboat, she reports: "January was a decent start to the year with $33.1M in Gross Sales and 71 transactions. The Gross Volume was up 61.73% over last January while transactions were up 2.9%." For full report, see January 2015 Sales Numbers.
As of today, there are 122 Pending sales and the activity level with showings has been super busy in the various real estate offices. Occupancy rates are steadily improving and the Steamboat lodging barometer shows a healthy influx of visitors through March. It was predicted that 13,000 visitors arrived last weekend, which marks the beginning of spring breaks across the country.
