Gentle Yoga Classes at the Crow River Senior Center

Gentle yoga is a no experience necessary class that will be conducted at the Albertville City Hall on Tuesday mornings at 9 am.

There is a fee of $5.00 per session, and you need to dress comfortably and bring water.

The instructor, Shannon, will lead the class through a series of yoga poses designed to gently lengthen, stretch and relax your muscles.

For more information and to register, call Shannon at 763-227-1785 or email her at Shannon.Simon07@gmail.com

Happy Yoga,

Best, Ron

A little gentle yoga is a great way to start the day.  I hope the class is well-attended.

I don't do yoga, but I do a lot of stretching.  I think i would look funny in yoga pants!

Very cool to have Gentle Yoga classes at the senior center.  Mobility issues can be a really big problem affecting a person's quality of life.  Yoga (or Pilates, etc.) can really help.  I hope lots of people recognize this and get to class.  They should attend even if they think they'd look funny in yoga pants like William Feela.

I love yoga and need to get back into it. $5 for a class is very affordable and so worth it.

Hi Ron, My sister is a yoga inctructor and says it is really good for seniors. She works on balancing as seniors tend to get off balance and sustain falls.

Debbie Reynolds The instructor will work with seniors using a chair as support while standing.  And, most exercises can be done seated.  It certainly isn't the down on the floor yoga that Chief Cook does on a mat!  Thanks for your comment!

Hi Ron -- I've never done yoga and likely not going to start now.  As Endre Barath, Jr. commented, I'm also not very bendy and I don't even want to think of me wearing yoga pants.

Even with some yoga experience, having the instructor there to guide you into better position is very valuable.  Nicely done with the post, Ron!

I think, it is an excellent opportunity to try new things or just join a good yoga class. Gentle yoga is about breathing and relaxing.

Ron,

I understand yoga is good for the body, mind and soul. I like this type of Yoga at the Seniors Center as it is low impact. Fee is very reasonable.
