Love the sentiment Bob, and I need to find some of that coffee around here!  I often find people that "want to" do challenging hikes and climbs with me, and I have to remind them of this mentality.  I love roughing it and am always up for a good challenge.

Sounds like someone should be ready for whatever, strong coffee and the great outdoors.

Bob- I do love my coffee, but my camping days are over.  I camped as a Girl Scout, and when I first met my husband.  That said, I'm only a partial Wimp. 

Bob Crane I like your policy of no wimps!!!  I was raised on camping and canoeing- Love it all- I could live in a tent as long as I have warm showers!

I've put 1100 miles between hotels, but I ain't sleeping in a tent. I'll sleep in the car, but not in a tent.

Haha, I would likely be considered a wimp for that kind of a job, as I never really enjoyed camping out and such.

Well, the challenges of your job would not bother me, but the coffe would do me in.

You should write a book about your adventures in the Northern Minnesota forests and swamps.

So many people do not know how to enjoy the winter or even have an idea of the survival skills, and find the season to be survived only by the grace of a toasty warm home.  But for those prepared and looking for a way to be close to the peace and quiet of nature, winter is one of the best seasons to be outdoors.  I would agree though, to survive the tough tundra of Northern Minnesota, you can't be a whimp.

Another "hi-rev" coffee sign could read - "outlast the energizer bunny."

Something that high test would probably make me unbearable.  One cup of coffee is enough for me...and regular amounts of caffeine only.

I USE to camp out and rough it, but I gotta tell you, living in a motor home beats it, hands down!

Wow, did this hit a nerve with me and please don't take this the wrong way. When everyone was going to hostels through Europe when I was young, I took a public relations job which sent me to fabulous hotels all over the world. But am I a wimp? No way, you can imagine the competition nipping at my heels for the job at the time. From that, I learned not to do it the way others do, so now I'm drinking Latte's here in Carmel-by-the-Sea with my clients. Where is my attitude coming from? My family was super poor when we immigrated to Canada when I was very young and we really had to scratch to make ends meet. As a family, we worked in the fields picking blueberries in Canada the first year. Although I love the outdoors and own property in Northern California surrounded by forest, camping is not on my bucket list at this time in my life, nor coffee that will churn my gut. Sorry. 

Bob Crane my son did cross country - from Boston to SF in about 10 days and slept at camping sites - however, if you ask me, I don't think I can survive even a night there....

Hope I didn't come across churlish, Bob Crane . Didn't mean that at all Just wanted to say I don't have to sleep on the ground and drink coffee that blows my head off to disprove my wimpishness. It's a tough urban world out there too.
