Tuesday treasures-Lighting the way

Good morning everyone-There are many plants, shrubs and bushes at the Denver Botanical Gardens in Colorado.  I can understand why after visiting there that you could get a yearly pass there. Like the Longwood Gardens in PA that Roy Kelley and his wife Dolores visit regularly the places both have a lot to offer and the flowers change with the seasons.

It is has a huge inside area as well as the outside area. It was a feast for the senses and one place I will be sure to visit again on my next visit there.  I found these in the inside area and thought they were so cool and enchanting and glad they turned out pretty well.  I used different settings and both turned out.

May your light shine today in the darkness and everyday

Happy Tuesday everyone

Lets shake things up at your home today!

I imagine botanical gardens just about anywhere are lovely.  I always enjoyed the one in the Bronx when I lived in NYC.

Inside areas of botanical gardens are fascinating as they are protected from the elements. At an Arboretum we have in Dallas they have a house with some inside plants and they flourish. It is always a trick finding how they get the sunlight to them to not wither. I like the rock scapes you found in Denver at their exhibit.

You are convincing me to go and vist the next time I'm in Denver. I'll have to drag along my new little grandbaby though, that's the only way I could justify the time. :)

Tammy-I agree it does.

Gary-There are lots of plant lights and I think natural light thru the roof but don't remember. I loved the rockscapes

Debb-You would love it and well worth your time. There are more pics to come

Sharon-I hope you get the chance you would enjoy it

Mary-Indeed they do.

Sharon, this splash of color against the stone is just lovely! Botanical gardens ANYWHERE would be a draw for me. If you get back to Portland, we ought to go to the Japanese Gardens. I was a member there for years, and actually created my own Japanese Garden and made my own bamboo fencing, cutting the bamboo and using jute to tie in ways that I saw when I would visit (I kept a garden journal and drew pics of the ways that the fencing was done). So much fun--that was our home before we sold and moved here to Fishhawk Lake.

Gayle-It was indeed lovely and like you Botanical gardens and gardens of any kind are a HUGE draw for me.  I would love to visit the Japanese gardens with you. That is cool that you made your own bamboo fencing. I had a ton of bamboo in my back yard in NY. It was invasive but it sure would have made a great bamboo fencing. Wish I had thought about that at the time.

Those did turn out great, Sharon. I think the second one is my favorite. Are you going to be entering Dick Greenberg 's photo contest?
