Great news about Plum Creek Golf Course for homeowners and golfers! I was one of those waiting on pins and needles over the winter to find out what would become of Plum Creek Golf Course in Castle Rock, CO. A longtime favorite course of mine had been on the market for the past couple years and all sorts of conversations were coming about. Everything from converting the land to condos, to doing nothing with it and just leaving the course as natural land and open space.
But the owners of Bear Dance, a great track just a few miles south have purchased Plum Creek and are getting prepped to turn it back into the once great course it used to be. All of the homeowners are rejoicing and property values should once again climb with the rest of the market, the last couple years was a little iffy, but now all is good in the market. The town of Castle Rock itself had a lot to do with this purchase as they really wanted to keep the course alive.
Over the years Plum Creek has been a private club, a semi-private club and a public course and even hosted a PGA senior tour event, it would have been a shame to close the course.
Keep your eyes open for some nice homes to pop up over the next few weeks, plenty of builders have gambled that the course would remain active and it looks like that gamble is going to pay off. I was fortunate to play in a tournament there this past fall that was part of the largest single day tournament in golf history.
Lots of great memories here. If you would like to see what is for sale currently on this great course, that can happen right here- Plum Creek Golf Homes for sale
