Just today I worked with a lovely lady for 2 days and today she says she has a lifelong friend that is a Realtor and her friend advised her to break her signed contract with me for purchasing her new home and allow her to write it.

Not only is this "friend" not a real friend but this "friend" is about to lose her license for a minor violation called Tortious Interference.

This will be one "realtor" I will make sure to help right out of our business.  

Using a professional real estate agent is the only way to go. For most people, buying a home is the biggest purchase they will make. 

Don...I just talked last week with a couple who sold on their own and are now getting sued.  Sadly, I believe they will lose because they don't know the law.

I read somewhere that even the guy that started ForSaleByOwner.com hired an agent to sell his house. It's not something that is as easy as self checkout at the grocery store.

I had a message today of someone who wants my help.  I am honored to be the one helping them.  We all have skill sets.... mine is real is real estate.  That couple has two other skill sets of things I can't fathom doing. 

Hi Don --- it also takes more than watching some HGTV episodes of House Hunters to make you a real estate expert.  

The people who sue are often looking for a for sale by owner.  The people wh o want to sell by owner rarely know all that goes into the educator of a realtor or broker.
