Content Curation Can Help You Develop Your Niche
I blogged a few times last month about the need to curate content (displaying organized and often similar information), showed some sites designed just for that purpose, and the impact it can have on reaching more consumers. A few of you jumped in...kudos to you.
A couple of ways to showcase the information you have collected are to show your expertise (if you only use your own content), or use a variety of sources to provide as much quality information about a niche topic as you can.
In the example below, I have created a Storify board with information that our military (active, vets, and retired) can use when they are ready to buy or sell a home. Living in a military town, I know this information will be appreciated and used.
Perhaps your niche is mortgages, condo information, subdivisions, staging, buyer tips, how-to's, flooring, social media, or something entirely different. The point is, you can easily assemble information (this board took 30 minutes), add the curated content to a blog post about the subject, let those you are showcasing know (so they can social share the information), and at a minimum the result will be increased traffic to your site (assuming your links point consumers to a specific location). It really is this simple.

If you found this information helpful, please consider social sharing it so others can benefit too. Happy Content Curating, Rainers!
