Lowry is a neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. This neighborhood use to be the Lowry Air Force Base that was officially closed on April, 27th 1994 and Lowry was Re-developed into a Denver neighborhood.

Lowry's Officer and NCO living Quarters were turned into new Townhomes and Condos. Richmond, Standard Pacific and other builders started building Single-Family Homes in Northwest.

There are still many of the original buildings including some Airplane Hangers and the Museum *Wings Over the Rockies. The oldest building in this neighborhood was built in 1904 and is now a residential home.

Lowry has many things to offer from it's popular dining, indoor hockey ring, plenty of parks and outdoor space. The *Lowry Beer Garden is a popular place to enjoy music, sporting events and just relaxing in the indoor/outdoor pub which sits next  to the Wings Over the Rockies. Below is a picture from the Beer Garden

David Shamansky Yes, Lowry is a very eclectic neighborhood that really has limited Chain Stores. They love Local.
