Sunday reminded me of one more thing I love about living in Phoenix, Arizona, also known as "The Valley of the Sun", no springing forward, falling backwards or shifting sideways.
In Arizona there are no clocks to reset, no watches to adjust we just keep on keep'n on.
I'll be the first to admit that I don't really get the whole Daylight Savings Time thing.
I understand that we want more daylight for work, school, etc. but we don't really create more daylight.
Couldn't we do the same thing by getting up one hour earlier or staying one hour later?
A 2008 National Bureau of Economic Research study concluded that Daylight Savings Time didn't save time or money or increase productivity.
My favorite quote about Daylight Savings Time comes from an anonymous Native American, "only the government would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket."
I know it's a small thing but it's one more thing that I love about living in Phoenix Arizona.
