Sacramento County Listing and Sales Statistics for February 2015

By
Real Estate Agent with GreatWest Realty DRE# 00827565

In February Sacramento County experienced a -5.9% decrease in number of homes listed For Sale vs. the same month a year ago.

For the same period there was a 4% increase in homes that SOLD, while Pending Sales increased 29.3%.

Interest rates remain low.  Although inventory continues to be low, we look forward to a positive year for housing in the Greater Sacramento Region.

Myrl,

Looks like a Seller's market in your area and hopefully when sellers realize this it will put more homes on the market!

Hi Myrl,

Low inventory seems to be happening in many areas including yours and ours here in Katy. Have a great day.

Myrl --  WOW -- look at the pending number!   Your area seems to mimic what is happening in many communities with low inventory of properties available for sale.  Hopefully, the arrival of Spring will entice homeowners thinking of selling to put their homes on the market.

We just don't have enough homes to meet the demand for buying a home right now. I've been begging sellers to go on the market in Sacramento and to do it today. By the time some will get around to it, this market will be long gone. The time to capitalize is now.

Houses are soling much faster in Sacramento.

I talked to my friend who just moved from there. She loves loves the city and misses it a lot.
