We Just Lost Another of the Great Generation! A Tribute to Those Who Have Gone Before Us!
Ron Marsahsall wrote a great post about my uncle who passed away yesterday. While Ron wasn't around my uncle Henrik for as long as I was, he got to know him toward the end of his life. And, I know that he was impressed by his genius, his simple life and his generosity. Life takes some interesting turns sometimes, and this one with the connection between these two was something to behold....I will let Ron take it from here....

When I turned 65 recently, it was a huge wake-up moment. I might not have as much time to do what I still want to do.
You might have had these moments at the end of a week, the end of a month, or the end of a year.
What about the end of your life?
I was fortunate to be at the bedside for almost a week of a great man who passed today. While he was awake, it was important to him to pass along some gems that will stay with me forever.
Always treat everyone with respect, no matter how they treat you.
Give without thinking of getting back.
Love as if your life depends on it, because it does….read the words of prophets. Love your neighbor as your self. It really means that.
Don’t hold grudges, they only hurt YOUR soul. They don’t affect the person you are not happy with.
There were so many more….and I hope that I can remember them all. This man has so little life left at his end, but he wanted everyone to be comfortable. He was a true giver, and I wish I had met him earlier in my life. We could have shared so much more.
