"Sorry to tell you this.... but you did not get the house..." These are the words I'm sure many real estate agents have had to utter to a client at one point or another. Its never an easy conversation, but in real estate it has to be done sometimes. When this happens, I feel like I'm a doctor giving bad news to a patient. That look in their eyes or the sound of their voice says it all. Heartbroken, distraught, disappointed, befuddled, etc you name the adjective and I'm sure that is how they feel.
Having to explain to a client why they may have not have got the house is ultimately just as difficult and just trying to convince them that house was not the house right for them and we'll get back on the horse and find them another one is a task in itself. The doctor agent part of me consoles for a second and then remotivates to find the next house! It's a part of real estate that I am learning how to handle situation by situation. I wish I could say "here take two of these houses and call me in the morning!" Hahaha! Have a great day Rainers!
