Whether you have lived here for years or you are planning a trip or are moving to the Palm Springs or Palm Desert area, here are some of my top things you have to experience. I realize that sometimes people spend years, even decades in a location and don't experience all of the benefits and unique adventures right here at home.

Temecula Wineries - This place has been rated by USA Today as one of the 10 best places in the area. Our Temecula Valley offers an ideal location for growing premium winery grapes. There are a total of 13 wineries with nearly 30 different varietals. There are shops, tasting rooms, tours and several wineries were you can build your own wine with your own label. You don't need to travel to Napa or Sonoma Valley when we have some of the top rated wines right here in Temecula Valley.
Desert Adventures - We make the most of living in the desert. Jump on one of their popular Desert Adventure Red Jeeps and tour some of the beautiful valleys including the Coachella Valley, the Joshua Tree National Park, the Agua Caliente Indian Cannons, Mecca Hills and the San Andreas Fault Line. This is a perfect tour to take with kids or people of any age as they have exclusive rights to some of the most hidden gems in our area. The guides know exactly what they're doing and can answer any questions about the different places you will visit and see on the tour; they probably know more than the locals! If you've never been on this tour or you're moving to this area this is a great way to learn about our Valley and surrounding deserts.
Knott's Soak City Water Park - This water park is located in Palm Springs and is a perfect way to cool off on some of our hot spring and summer days. This is one of the best attractions for families and people with kids although it is also a great place to just relax and float down the lazy river. The 16-acre water park is open March through October and features 20 water attractions, a dozen waterslides, a lazy river and a huge wave pool.
Indian Canyons - We've already talked a little bit about this on the Desert Adventures but if you don't plan on going on one of their tours, you can just check out Indian Canyons for yourself. This is located at 38500 S. Palm Canyon Dr. in Palm Springs. This is a recreational oasis for horseback riders and nature lovers alike. There are trail recommendations, hiking map, and a small shop for things like water and snacks. It's a great way to learn about our environment and explore Palm Springs in its natural state.
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway - This is something that every local should do at least once and certainly something to show your family or visiting friends. If you want to view the Coachella Valley in all of its glory it's best seen from above. This cable car tracks up into the mountains at Palm Springs, offering a 12 1/2 minute ride in the world's largest rotating aerial tramway. Enjoy stunning 360° views of Palm Springs as you climb two and half miles to Mountain Station in the Mount San Jacinto State Park. At the top, there's nature walks, a backcountry hike or lunch or dinner at the Peaks Restaurant. You can even play in the snow up there during the winter.
Living Desert Zoo - A excursion in Palm Springs would not be complete without a visit to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. Located at 47–900 Portola Ave. in Palm Desert, this amazing zoo and gardens eco-structure offers you an up close and personal with desert dwelling life. Get educated about the animals in the deserts of North America or plan a hike over the 1000 acres of undisturbed desert land. This is a perfect family adventure, one in which the kids and the grandparents will love. It's a great way to get up close and personal with desert wildlife, flora and fauna.
I love the Palm Desert and Palm Springs area and if you love it either through a visit or you've been here for years and are ready for a move, feel free to contact me at any time. I service the entire Palm Desert real estate area and surrounding communities and villages. I look forward to speaking with you about your move to or within Palm Springs and Palm Desert.
