A few weeks ago, I was hosting an Oregon Horse Country Booth at the annual Oregon Equestrian Trails Roundup.  A nice man approached me to discuss some publicity for his wife's upcoming trek.  I was astonished to listen to him speak about her, and very excited for her adventure!  I have to admit, I was slightly jealous too!

The Pacific Crest Trail runs the entire length of the United States, from Mexico to Canada.  Over 2600 miles!  I will be personally horse camping near the trail in July, and hope, by pure luck, that Rhonda will be passing through that week and we can serve her a good meal!  You can read more of her story here Woman set to ride the entire Pacfic Crest Trail 2015.

Happy Trails Rhonda!

Catherine, that is just an incredible and very ambitious undertaking for Rhonda.  Those pioneers who crossed the Mississippi and made the trip by horse before the train era sure have my respect.  Amazing feat and to relive history like that!

Hi Catherine, wouldn't that be special if you ran into her while horse camping.  Not jealous of how saddle sore she might get though. Ha
